Got Membership, Areas still closed

I got a membership for a month and areas are still closed off to me. What's going on?

Does a message come up saying that you need a membership/need crowns to access the area? Or does it simply not let you in? If the second is true, then you need to continue questing to go to those areas.

If you bought it with a prepaid card, it could be possible that you accidentally click on the crowns option or even a membership for Pirate101.

if you see an icon on the top left of your screen that says 'upgrade now', membership wasn't applied.
