Ring of Insight craft

My son has all of the reagents to make 2 Rings, but when we go to his crafting table we can't do anything. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Your backpack might be full. Try taking something out first.

Did you buy the recipe to make the rings ? All of the recipes you purchase will be listed under the crafting tab. Once you buy it , you never need to purchase the recipe again. Can use it unlimited amount. You can buy the recipe , if needed , from the same woman who gave the quest,

go to old town and talk to the lady who gave you the quest in the first place. then select recipe's and buy the ring formula.
