If couch potatoes "like" King Parsley, do I have to meet the King Parsley's needs? Does the "like" boost still activate if the King Parsley is wilted/dead.

Yes, If you are just planting one to fill the likes, it's easiest to let it die and just leave it there. So you always have the like.

I don't think it was designed to work that way, but yes, the dead plant will still act as a like.I keep mine alive and just keep a pixie on it because the couch potatoes don't get it on their own.

My couch potatoes get pixies quite often. When they don't, I put one on them, but probably half the time I don't have to.

I never thought to just leave a dead KP though -- I always have kept mine alive.

They attract Pixies on their own usually, but I generally throw one on them as soon as they are able to hold one. It just speeds things along.
