Bottles of Sealant

Why do you have to battle so many Pincer creatures just to get Bottles of Sealant? I started at like 9:30 am and it was 1:30pm when I just said I give up I needed 4 of them but only got 3 in that amount of time what is going on? Is this a glitch in the game? I mean I just started Celestia and need to get the Sealant for something.

It's not a glitch or something that was done on purpose (Or I don't think so), it's just luck when you collect those things.
