"That Area is Closed" message!

If you are trying to move to a new area (either by entering a street, recalling home or teleporting to a friend) and receive a message

"That Area is Closed right now, try again later."

Please take the following steps as quickly as possible.

Start an email to support@wizard101.com (either in your webmail client such as Yahoo or your Outlook program)

Make the Subject of the Email "That Area is Closed right now, try again later."

Select the option to Attach a File to the email. You will be asked to point to the location of the file you want to attach.
Navigate to your Wizard101 Folder (usually Program Files/KingsIsle Entertainment/Wizard101) then go to the Bin Folder then select "WizardClient.Log".

Once that file is attached, send the email.

Thank you!

Finally Researching in to this problem, It has Been a "inconvenience" for Quite some time. Especially When you are trying to visit your castle and you have to wait to try again.

In my opinion it is related to lag. I tend to get that error far more when I have a weaker connection.

Dear Professor -

If I have already submitted this to Mr. Lincoln via the "Contact Customer Support" function on this page, should I re-submit it via my e-mail client? Thank you.

IW.

Sent the info. Seems to be happening with only my new account, 24hourwiz, and not my grown up account, 24hourmama. :-)

One char has the massive fantasy palace, that is where the problem first happened. Thanks!

Has always been related to lag for me; typically if I try to enter a new zone right as my connection drops and resets itself (as it seems to do a few times each hour) I always get this message.

This leads me to assume it has something to do with communication between my computer and their servers.

Glad I checked this thread, as over the next week or two I'm sure I can provide .bin's for many different instances of this happening.

I have been running into this error a lot! I could fill your in-box with instances of it happening. It makes no difference about how busy the servers are for me. I get the message going into dungeons, into stores, into areas already visited, my own home, anywhere a change of map occurs. It happens on average about 1-2 times an hour, every hour I am playing. It has happened on consecutive attempts into an area. It takes about 30-45 seconds to "reset" for me to try again. It really rankles me when I use a teleport, as I then have to wait the 30-45 seconds PLUS the 60 seconds for the teleport to reset to try again.

Well I like to wait and thats all that needs to be done. It only happens in new places (to me).
