The Fantastic Adventures of Erica MoonSword by Erica MoonSword

“I held on tight to the girl’s hand.

“Are they gone?” She asked. I shook my head.

“Stay here... um... what’s your name?”

"Iridian Starcrown.” Then we were swirled into the sand tube again.

I opened my eyes. Chelsea stared down at me.

“Did the vision work?” She asked, smiling.

“Yes it did. Her name is Iridian Starcrown.” I replied, still holding the citrine tight in my hands. Andrew rolled his eyes. Boys. I knew he wasn’t excited about another girl, and that was obvious. I dropped the citrine, Andrew jumping. I laughed.

“Seeking citrine. Catchy! But of course, the death wizard doesn’t understand.” Chelsea said, adding to Andrew’s bad mood. I immediately thought about a question that’s bugged me ever since the protector’s thing. What are we suppose to do? The seeking citrine answered that for me.

I was pulled into another vision, the two of them looking at me.

“The hydra statue lit up brilliantly.

“Good. Now any questions before we continue?” the unicorn statue said.

“Yes. If we are protectors, what do we protect?” I asked.

“The spiral and everything in it. Since the spiral is just a thread, it is easy to cut. Malistaire plans to cut up the spiral. The spiral is holding up everything in the spiral, tied up all together. When the spiral gets cut, a world will fall. Meaning, it will go wrong. Everything will destroy. And then there will be nothing left. As protectors, you protect the spiral. You keep the thread holding up the worlds from snapping. And when you are elder, and your spirits rise, as a protector, your spirit becomes one with the spiral, making it stronger. It’s been happening for generations past. “And when the generations of protectors get stronger, the spiral, or in an example, the thread, will no longer be a thread at all. It will become a strong rope. You, are part of the spiral. And the spiral is part of you.”

I gasped, dropping the citrine. How was that a balance vision? I looked around.

“What did you see?” Chelsea asked.

“I don’t know. But now I know what we are.” I said, looking at them.

They motioned me to continue.

“We’re a piece of the spiral. Here is the unicorn’s exact words. “You keep the thread holding up the worlds from snapping. And when you are elder, and your spirits rise, as a protector, your spirit becomes one with the spiral, making it stronger. It’s been happening for generations past. And when the generations of protectors get stronger, the spiral, or in an example, the thread, will no longer be a thread at all. It will become a strong rope. You are part of the spiral. And the spiral is part of you.””

I sighed, a little content and happy I memorized what the unicorn said. I was really smart, to prove it, on Earth I have about a million awards for straight A’s, and I got invited to some things across the country. You know, the usual for a kid genius.

Now it made sense. Everything made sense. But we can’t think of that now. We have to find the balance protector.

We did all the stuff we normally did for the past two days, keeping an eye on kids from the three major schools-fire, storm, and balance. We looked on their hands, trying to find a ring. Nothing came up for several days. I was already a level 19. I was gaining fast on Kyle. Oh, how I wish he was here now. We walked past every group and looked for everyone. Nothing. But, we had entertainment for the whole time. Well, I did. Chelsea and Andrew were fighting every day, every hour. I think that’s believable, since it is life and death. While I was working on a quest for Professor Greyrose, Chelsea whispered to me.

“Erica! I need help! I’m scared! I don’t know what I did!” she cried.

“One second. Just let me dip this medallion in this water.” I whispered back. Once I was done with that, I teleported to her.

And was face to face with Malistaire. He was holding Chelsea by her collar. Andrew was staring at his father. Chelsea was crying. I looked around. We were in the Dark Cave.

“Let her go! You have my brother! Take me instead!” I cried.

Malistaire chuckled.

“If I do that, you’ll never find Iridian. Poor, miserable girl. She’s the lowest level of you all. And better, she’s the saddest. Try getting reasonable.” He said. Then he disappeared, Chelsea in his tight grip. I never saw her again.

I couldn’t level or anything without my friend or my brother. I hung around, defeating monsters. I went to bed, my heart sinking. I felt horrible.

The next morning, I teleported to my friend Olivia GhostTheif. She was in a battle, but in all of the places in the spiral, Dragonspyre. I sighed, and helped her and two others finish off draconian, and a Minotaur, but this one seemed stronger. Bigger. I shook with absolute fear when it fell to the ground, and was defeated. I sat down on a sidewalk, not sure where to go. Then I started teleporting. I couldn’t stop it, so I hoped for the best.

Wish granted. Sort of.

When I teleported, I was in some sort of jail. I wasn’t inside the bars, and it didn’t take me long to realize I was in a Dragonspyre jail.

“Erica is that you? Help!” a voice called out. Chelsea!

“Please, please, help! We want out!” another voice called. Kyle! I ran full speed toward the back, to find another jail cell with Kyle and Chelsea. Chelsea looked horrible, although she’s been in the cell for about 2 days. Kyle was just as bad, but sadder. I looked around for a key. I grabbed the first key I saw. I opened the door. And like speeding bullets, we made a mad dash for the exit. And soon it was blocked by draconian. We were too low of a level to fight them! There was only one thing to do, still an unsure feeling in my gut.

“Teleport!” I shouted back to Chelsea and Kyle.

“Where?” They shouted back.

“Anywhere! Just do it!” I shouted. I teleported home.

“It’s not working! Why isn’t it working?” I shouted. But it was too late. The dueling circle was forming.

“NO!” I shouted, throwing a card at them. The card changed into a colossus. Oh… my…gosh.

And the next second, I found myself in my dorm. I sighed, filled with relief. And soon, Kyle and Chelsea teleported next to me. I hugged them tight, tears streaming down my cheeks.

I know what you’re thinking. Too easy to find them, right? I thought it was. But I was wrong. So wrong.
