I was sitting in my dorm room on a hot summer morning, the sun was shining, and it was an absolutely beautiful day. The sun was shining and birds were singing. Light was shining through my stained glass window illuminated my face.
I sat in the peaceful light for a few moments until I abruptly interrupted by a loud voice:
“New students, your Wand, spell book, and deck will arrive shortly. You will need to choose a secondary school.”
I sighed and got up throwing my novice robes on. When I was dressed I opened the door to my dorm. I found a small package outside my door, waiting. Other girls were exchanging glances around the hall.
“Um, you open it,” said a girl with dark black hair to another girl. There was no response but a murmur.
A small girl with blue eyes and purple hair picked up the package. She appeared to be an ice wizard but, who knows. She tore into the brown paper over the box-- and opened it, it was wands, decks, and spell books. A sigh of relief hustled through the crowd.
I picked up mine, and was surprised to find a stick in it. “Stupid twig how’re you supposed to work?” I said.
“It’s not about the wand work,” Said the girl who had opened the package “It’s all about you.”
I picked a card from my deck and tried to cast it. It worked, a beautiful thunder snake sitting there wagging it’s tail absentmindedly.
“Hey, it worked! Thanks. What’s your name?” I asked her.
“Erica, Erica Moonsword” she said “Yours?”
“Chelsea Skytalon.”
“Well, I’m going to go to do my quests… so bye!” Then Erica was teleporting off to who knows where.
The school day passed slowly…
I walked out of class heading for the life tower, for I always did my homework there. I walked in, and sat down at one of the tables, on it was a jade ring. I stared at it and picked it up, it glowed softly in the blue-green light. I slipped it onto my finger and the glow burst into a bright light, I was engulfed in the light. I opened my eyes, and I saw I was in a white room, it was huge.
“Welcome to the Keep, Protector Skytalon!” said a voice. I looked around and saw that there were seven statues around me, three of which were moving.
“ Ice is the Sapphire of Hope, Life is the Jade of Bravery, Myth is the Peridot of Power, Death is the Onyx of Purity, Balance is the Citrine of Dreams, Storm is the Amethyst of Trust, and Fire is Ruby of Sacrifice. Two of the protectors you already know, and the rest you shall meet! Death is the next protector, his name is Andrew.’’ Said the voice.
“Andrew what?” I asked utterly confused.
“It’s best you don’t know yet.”
I found myself teleporting back to the life tower. I sighed and started walking back to the dorms with the ring. | |
