Welcome to the March 2013 Ravenwood Bulletin Newsletter. In this newsletter we have a new Book of the Month from Harold, contests on our fansites, a new 'How to Draw' and much more.

Spring is a wonderful time in the Spiral! The first visitor who will be arriving any day now is Pat O'Gold. She brings with her a very special pet for the season, and many many wands for you to buy. Watch for her to arrive in the Wizard City Shopping District near the fountain on March 4th.

Much later this month, Eggbert will be arriving with his host of items to sell. Remember both Pat & Eggbert only take Crowns, but their items can also be found in the pockets of bosses throughout the Spiral.

Book of the Month Club

Harold Argleston, Librarian
This is the March 2013 installment of my Book of the Month Club. These books have been suggested by a fellow Librarian from Earth, her name is Kit Ward-Crixell and she is a librarian in New Braunfels, Texas, USA.

Zafaria is such an inspiring world, and it has inspired our book recommendation. The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm by Nancy Farmer is our March Book of the Month.

This book is set in Ethiopia, an African country, in the future! Ear, Eye, and Arm are detectives in a not-very-successful detective agency. They're hired by General Amadeus Matsika to find his children, who have sneaked out of the house to go on an adventure and are missing. This story alternates between telling about the detectives and telling about the kids, who are having way more adventures than they bargained for!

This exciting book also has funny parts, and even though it's set in a made-up future, it has real African history and folklore too.

Look for this book in your school or local library and enjoy reading, young Wizards!

Fan Stories

Tell us...what is your favorite school?

Wizard101 Fan Fiction DoodleSchool pride is very important to many young Wizards. Storm Wizards like their strong spells, but those come at a cost to accuracy. Death Wizards like to both deal damage and heal at the same time, but those cards cannot be enchanted as strongly. Each school has its strengths and weaknesses, so tell us, what is your favorite school and why?

Each month the Ravenwood Bulletin Newsletter will include a new 'How to Draw...' feature that will show you the steps to draw a doodle of a Wizard101 creature, and a sheet to print out to practice on.
