An Olympic Event

Hello young Wizards of the Spiral! I've just arrived in the Wizard City Shopping District, come visit me by the fountain and have a look at the fun things I have for sale.

There's a big announcement coming soon from Merle Ambrose, but rather than delay the newsletter, I'll update it when he's finished crossing his t's and dotting his i's, so keep watch on this page for this exciting news.

For this Ravenwood Bulletin, we've got another installment of Harold's Book of the Month Club, this one sounds exciting! We've got news of new ice cat pets that can be obtained through Target stores in the USA, and much much more so read on!

Ravenwood School of Magical Arts Welcomes Spring Competition

The winds of spring are blowing across Wizard City and with them come the fresh spirit of competition. Inspired by Earth’s finest athletes at their winter games, Wizards from every school and many worlds of the Spiral are ready to set forth on grand new adventures with their loyal pets alongside them, with exciting new activities and fresh challenges soon to come.

Wizard101 Advanced Pets

When asked what’s in store for pet-owners, Merle Ambrose, headmaster of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts, replied: “This spring, pets will be able to do more than you have ever dared hope! These fine creatures will serve alongside you in wonderful new ways, taking you to unseen parts of familiar worlds, and in time to come, worlds beyond those you know! If you think you have seen all that the Spiral has to offer, young Wizard, you will soon discover an all new breed of entertainment!”

When asked to elaborate, Ambrose replied cryptically, “The answer you seek may be in the stars... or it just might be there alongside you.”

Harold Argleston's Book of the Month Club

Wizard101 Librarian Harold Argleston  Welcome to the third installment of my Book of the Month Club. These books have been suggested by a fellow Librarian from Earth, her name is Kit Ward-Crixell and she is a librarian in New Braunfels, Texas, USA.

Our third Book of the Month is Lowthar’s Blade Trilogy by R.L. LaFevers. Many young readers have rejected high fantasy books because the characters’ names are so hard to sound out. Younger readers who aren’t quite ready for the Chronicles of Prydain will enjoy this easier-reading introduction to high fantasy. The names are easier to pronounce and the book itself is short, but the story of young Kenric, whose blacksmith father has been kidnapped by an evil lord who wants him to make a magic sword, is interesting enough to satisfy. The first book is The Forging of the Blade.

Look for this book in your school or local library and enjoy reading, young Wizards!
