Ring in the New Year!

Happy new year, young Wizards! 2015 was an exciting year in the Spiral. With the Spring update, Jewel Socketing was introduced to give Wizards a shiny new way to customize the stats on some of their items. The Ultra Summer update brought socketing and Ultra Level pets. And to round off the year in Fall, Wizards got the opportunity to explore a new world in Polaris! I hope you had a great year and look forward to sharing new adventures in Wizard101 for 2016.

What was your favorite addition, update, change or improvement to the Spiral in 2015? Weigh in at our Message Boards for the last Feedback Friday of the year.

A Letter from Falmea

Professor Falmea discusses the changes in storytelling and game mechanics that came with the new world of Polaris, and a looks ahead to the continued story of Wizard101.

“We feel like it’s a chilly breath of fresh air, and can’t wait for the rest of the third arc to unfold. Can you believe we’re already laying ground for the next world? We can’t wait to take you there!”

Did You Know?

Have you ever admired a house on Castle Tours and wondered where in the Spiral the wonderful decorations came from? The Item Identifier is there to help! When you are visiting a house on Castle Tours, there are three buttons in the lower right of your screen. One is to rate the house, another to visit a new castle and the third is the Item Identifier. When you click the Item Identifier button, you can see how many items, pets/mounts and plants are in the house that you are visiting. This also gives you the opportunity to hover over items with your mouse and see each item’s name.

If you click on the item, it goes one step further by showing you information on where to find this item for yourself. In the example above, you can find an Archway Castle Block in three places. It is included in the Midday Estate bundle house, can be crafted using a recipe from Lloyd FallingWater and is a possible item within the Build-A-Castle Medieval Set pack. You can even use the Item Identifier to find out where to get the pets and plants that you see in houses. Give it a try the next time you are visiting a castle, and see what treasures you can locate for yourself!
