| | | |  Valentina Heartsong returns to Wizard City!Valentina Heartsong has joined us once again in Wizard City. She can be found in the Wizard City Shopping District near the fountain. She has lots of fun items for sale for Crowns, but just for a limited time. We also have something special for our young Wizards for this year's Friendship Festival! You can download and print your very own Wizard Valentines! Each Valentine has a space for you to write your Wizard101 Invite a Friend Code, so you can invite friends to join you in Wizard101.  Claiming Gifts on your CharactersMake sure you have space in your backpack before you claim the gift on your character. If your backpack is full, you will not be able to receive the gift. The Gift Box popup will continue to appear every time you move from one area to another. Do not claim a gift on a character unless you have space in your backpack first.

| | | | Tonight's UpdateTonights update includes fixes for the PriceLockMisMatch error in the SHOP, the issue with some Rugs in the new housing, and other minor technical quirks. Wizard101 will be offline from 3am to 5am Central US time, and the website will encounter periods of inaccessibility during this downtime as well. Thank you for your patience while we continue to improve the game for all our players.

It's hard to believe that 2009 is already over and that a new decade is upon us. Still, it's been a year filled with great releases, painful lessons learned, and a lot of hope for the coming year. | | | |  Wizard101 Community Raises $126,000 for Children’s Charities
Wizard101 players showed their strength as a community in benefiting two worthy organizations – Austin Children’s Shelter and Child’s Play. From Dec. 14 to Jan. 5, players were able to purchase an in-game riding mount, the “Meowmodon”, for approximately $15 with all proceeds from the sales going to the two charities. The $126,000 raised by Wizard101 players will be evenly distributed between the charities. The endeavor was the first for the award-winning, magic-themed massively multiplayer online (MMO) game.
Wizard101 selected the two beneficiaries – Austin Children’s Shelter and Child’s Play – to support the local Austin community as well as the global gaming community. Austin Children’s Shelter provides emergency shelter and care for abused and neglected children, and Child’s Play is a game industry charity dedicated to providing games and toys to children in hospitals worldwide.
“Wizard101 fans have shown that there truly is strength in numbers,” said Elie Akilian, CEO of KingsIsle Entertainment. “We were thrilled to see the Wizard101 community band together to benefit these two great organizations.”
