2020 Phancy Photomancy Contest

It’s time to get out that eye liner, shiny new pair of glasses, and comb back that hair to show off across the Spiral. A new character look and an updated Magic Mirror can mean only one thing for the next community activity... a photomancy screenshot contest!

Look like you own that sidewalk as you impress all the Skeletal Warriors on Firecat Alley!

You’ll get a chance to win some great prizes, plus receive tons of decorating tips and design sneak peeks from other participants. We’ll be featuring the winners on this month’s KI Live on July 30.

HOW TO ENTER

  • Dress up a character and choose a location to frame a great screenshot. Ask other players for resources and advice if needed.
  • Capture the best screenshot you can, decorate it up in Photomancy (less can be more!) and then share it on social media using the hashtag #PhancyPhotomancy and/or email it to us at community@kingsisle.com.
    • If you email, name the subject: W101 2020 Phancy Photomancy Contest Entry
    • Include your character name as well as an entry title and description of the scene. You can include who’s in the scene and what you are doing. Please limit descriptions to 35 words max so they can fit on social media.

THE PRIZES

  • 5 Phancy Wizards: 10,000 Crowns + Attire Bundle of choice + Little Ratatoskr Pet
  • 10 Honorable Mentions: 5,000 Crowns + Little Ratatoskr Pet
Winners will be announced on July 30 on KI Live. They will be notified by social PM or email, and prizes will be awarded in advance of the show. After KI Live by the following week, winners and their screenshots will be posted on social media and included in the following month’s newsletter.

CAPTURE TIPS

  • Set your computer’s graphics settings as high as they can go and ensure the resolution is maxed (preferably 1920x1080 if you have the option). No photos of your screen using an external camera please. If you need to know how to take a screenshot, the community is here to help!
  • You can use Photomancy to remove the UI. There are also many other Photomancy tricks you can learn about in Swordroll’s Photomancy Community Guide.
  • No fancy dancy photoshop software editing allowed, except the use of adding a text line or your own fansite/personal logo... things like that.
  • Feel free to include some friends in the shot for added social flair.
  • Be unique and show us something phancy!

CONTEST RULES

  • Deadline to submit is Sunday, July 26 at 11:59pm CT.
  • One entry per account. Any group efforts will only award the submitter.
  • Entries must be entirely original screenshots taken by you.
  • Entries that use copyrighted or inappropriate material will not qualify.
  • If under 13 years of age, ask your parent or guardian permission to participate.

A committee of judges will be formed at KingsIsle, and any tie breakers will be resolved by the committee. Any disputes or disagreements in the community on who ultimately won will NOT be tolerated as an open discussion in the forums. Anyone attempting to subvert the contest in any way is subject to immediate disqualification from the contest and possible suspension.

Inappropriate or vulgar entries are prohibited and will also result in immediate disqualification. No purchase necessary. One entry per person. This is a skill-based contest. Void where prohibited by law.
