There is no such thing as being too high of a level anywhere in the game. The higher your level, the greater your experience, power, etc.
I don't think so because I am level 78 and I am in the beginning of Avalon. It just means you basically did all the side quests right? For me, being a high level in somewhere like that means that I have a better chance of killing them. Because I have the power, experience, endurance, spells, etc. I think you are a good level to be there. But this is also just my opinion! Hope this helped(:
