Difficulty in wizard101 is directly related to wizard level. For a first time wizard a world can be challenging or fairly easy depending on your wizard level when you entered. Particularly true for world's Celestia and beyond.
Other factors affecting difficulty are: - player skill with their wizard. - player ability to try new spells, adapt, change strategies. - completing school quests for additional spells - friends. - gear (hat, robes, wand, etc) and trained pets. - some people regularly use crown shop items and henchmen.
I think some people fly through portions of the game with friends (sometimes higher level wizards, or more skilled players) and then try playing on their own, a bit under leveled and under skilled. Then they find the game very difficult.
I'm only level 42 and I really want to go there but is it harder than Celestia?

No, Celestia is rather tedious and you NEVER collect things there and Zafaria you collect things first or second try but in Celestia its' 5 or 6 tries. I am about to start Zafaria, just finishing Trial of the Spheres. Valkoor GoldSong - level 58 myth
Thanks! I'm in Celestia now and I'm not enjoying it. I keep getting defeated!
Dolan Griffontalon Grandmaster Diviner (level 52)
Considering I gained access to Celestia later on, I don't find it too difficult. However, you're level 52 and because you're a lower level it's going to make everything seem harder. You could ask friends to help you but also, as you level up you're going to get much stronger so it will get easier. This is just the beginning so don't give up :)
