I was sad to learn of Davy Jones's death last week. Outing myself here, but Davy Jones is part of my early childhood; he was one of the first tv stars I encountered as a toddler, and I adore the Monkeys' music to this very day. (Did you know there's an album from the mid-90's?)
Anyway, namaste, and I share your hope that KI will take a chance to venerate the first true pop star in our post-modern US.
