Do I Look Fat In This?

I am currently on this quest, which is a main quest. I have received the transformation and approached the palace gate, the glowing disappears, and I try to move forward, but am unable to climb the set of steps. Is there a glitch with this?

I had this same problem not even a couple of minutes ago, would anybody else be able to go onto the stairs if they already did the quest?

Ok, I got a friend of mine to cross onto the stairs, but in the quest it doesnt say i ever "approached" black castle... any idea if you can fix it?
