Why aren't there any pets?

In Wysteria there is a pet shop, but when you go into the shop they sell any pets. Why is there a sign saying they sell pets when they don't?

The pets are exclusive to the students of Wysteria, not us.

There isn't furniture either. It's just the way it was set up and KI has never expanded it. Perhaps someday...
