Monsters can cheat?

Ok so my balance wizard got to wysteria and i was fighting my first boss their and a message popped up and said that the students or something cheat????
i dont really know how they do it but can anyone tell me something like do they use a 5 pip spell but cast it using 2 pips?????

Yes they can cheat.

To answer your question.I think they do use a more harder spell that you need about 5 pips for when they have 2 pips.

Some other things about them:
They use a spell even though its not their turn.
They break your shields.
They can heal.

The most usual cheat is that they get a shield that regenerates every time you attack them.
