How come fire spell quests have to be so hard? Every time you have to face a FIRE ENEMY. Why has wizard101 done this?

It's the reason you have a PRISM spell. At level 7 you earned a card called Fire Prism. Cast that on your opponent before you cast a fire spell on them. It will convert the incoming damage from fire to ice, therefore doing more damage on your opponent, as fire creatures are more susceptible to ice damage.

Watch those shields though, if the ice shield is cast on the creature before you cast the prism, it will trigger.
If the ice shield is cast after you cast the prism, it will not trigger.

The last spell in is the first spell out.

If you want the prize, you have to build the ladder rung by rung. There are no shortcuts.

Actually I found that the fire spell quests were quite simple. More simple than some of the other stuff you have to beat to get your spells for other castes of wizards.

To add to what Zeke said, the prisms and potential for your enemy to shield is a key reason most schools should carry a staff of the opposite school: To knock out any shields under the prism before you attack.

If you think fire quests are hard, death students don't get a prism until they finish lord nightshade. And in the quest you also have to fight two death enemies in the death tower which have good resist.

Also on a side note: I have a life wizard in krok, and life doesn't get their prism until they complete wizard city.

back to the topic: just use your prism when facing fire enemies, and if they use a snow shield before you get your prism on, just use an ice attack. it's one of the main reason I use an ice sword (since fire and ice are opposites).

Just think about a strategy, and if you dont succeed the first time, then try again, and think of an improvement to your strategy in the process.
