My sister's level 27 Pyromancer wizard has a deck that holds up to 30 spells. She has a wand that gives her those fire flare things. When she battles, all that her deck gives her is the fire flares. Then, as she uses one, the deck gets smaller and smaller until she doesn't have any cards left. This has made my sister very upset. If you don't equip the deck, all that you get are the cards given to you by your wand and any other equipment you're wearing.
Also, as you use cards or as you discard them from the deck, they disappear from the deck for that battle. They get reset for the next battle. During a long battle, it's possible to run out of cards. For that reason, it doesn't hurt to stock your sideboard with a few attack cards.
Lol i don't know how many times i've done that :) You have to equip your deck or it won't work. Almost every time i changed my deck i forgot to equip it. It's not really convient when you port to a friend fighting a pretty hard boss and find out that you only have your wand spells and extras
