Right, yeah. So what's the point of giving a preview of what the item looks like if it won't be visible on your character? Rings and Amulets I can understand, since they wouldn't be noticeable anyway, but Athames would be. So I think that Athames should be visible on your character. Also, since they're blades, and look kinda like daggers, What's the point of having a bladed weapon if you're not gonna use it? And What are you supposed to do if you run out of spells in your deck and don't have any treasure cards? If KingsIsle put in a weak 0 pip physical attack with your athame or the wand or two seperate ones for athame and wand that could be used anytime and do base damage equal to the wizards level rounded down(up if under level 5) to the nearest multiple of 5, and affected by other modifiers, with school depending on the equip used in the attack, or if nothing equipped in that slot, the school of the wizard. Yeowch, that was long.
If you do some research, you will find that Athames are not meant to be weapons. Yes they are wizards' knives, but they are only used for making wands in most sources. If you want to make a change to something, you might want to do a little homework about it first.
