Taunts

The Taunt spells, the description on what they do in the "Schools of Magic" section makes them seem much, much more useful than they actually are. When a taunt is cast, now most commonly from snow angel, everyone ignores the taunt effect and the battle continues like nothing happened; exept for the damage. Taunts really should improve so they can't be ignored, by both players AND monsters. How about they are forced to target the player no matter what. So that Leviathan must hit the Ice wizard who cast it if they go second, instead of the desired target. Not too much to ask, especially for something that probably should happen anyway. The mega taunt exists, possibly then even passive spells would be forced on to the caster of the taunt?

I think in pvp, it could be a good idea to direct attacks to the caster of the spell for one turn.

Taunts can be resisted.

Maybe what a taunt should do is make the pip cost higher on all other targets. You could still resist the taunt, but at a price.

what you said sounds bad. like you have no free will whatsoever. it was made for monsters, as wizard101 revolves around battling them. no free will to choose who you want to attack is like getting beguiled every time they taunt you. and if it happens no ice would use it so it because they would die quickly. so it would just quickly consume itself to the point where there is a useless card nobody will use. Recap: taunt was made for ices to take attention away from their friends so that they can kill the monsters without dying. Using the taunt in this fasion would make ice school completely usesless in a 1v1 using snow angel as well as using snow angel and taunts entirely.

If you are discussing PvP, then taunts don't currently apply. In PvE, the taunt mechanism requires understanding how the AI works for directing the enemy actions. They work but there are a lot of caveats. Regarding taunt/soothe/etc in PvP... I wouldn't be in favor of taunt forcing attacks the direction of the ice wizard, because then everyone else would be able to use their spell to force attacks away from them, at least in a fair world.

1v1 doesn't make any sense at all. also, just ONE turn
