Spell after effects

We all know what after effects are; those things that are non damage based that happen after damage is inflicted to your enemy. The question I pose is this: Should after effects be school specific or no?

Spells with school specific after effects:
Balance: Power Nova, Sabertooth, Loremaster & Savage Paw
Death: Lord of Night, Dr Von’s
Ice: Winter Moon, Frost Giant, Wolly Mamouth
Life: Rebirth, Gnomes
Myth: Keeper of the Flames, Medusa, Basilisk

Spells with non-school specific after effects:
Fire: Efreet
Ice: Lord of Winter
Myth: Celestial Calendar, Earthquake
Storm: Storm Lord, Sirens

As you can see, there are spells that use out of school for after effects. Keep in mind, I am not saying any spell needs to be changed or not, I’m simply asking if you feel any after effects should use primary school effects? Let’s look at what the spells MIGHT look like if they used proper school effects:

Fire: Efreet could use Steal Charm, Choke, Smoke Screen, Backdraft
Ice: Lord of Winter could use Tower Shield, Freeze, Steal Ward, Snow Drift or Cool Down
Myth: Celestial Calendar could use Pierce, Cleanse Ward, Stun, Blinding Light or Shatter
Storm: Storm Lord/Sirens could use Lightning Strike, Disarm, Cleanse Charm, Super Charge or Enfeeble

Thoughts?
