So this is just an idea that hatched in my head and I wanted to get some opinions on it.
With the arrival of Khrysalis, we've gained access to new Shadow spells. I really like the concept of Shadow spells and I wanted to take things a step further. What if there was a universal Shadow minion any school could learn and use effectively? The Shadow Servant! I know some players feel Minions are of no use, but I think this spell will have it's benefits. It can only be summoned with a Shadow pip.
Shadow Servant School: Shadow Pips: 1 Shadow Pip Accuracy: 100% Type: Unknown -Summon a Minion of Shadow. No PvP
So why summon a Shadow Minion? I have my own to use (and not use) is probably what you're thinking. Well, the Shadow Servant is a powerful Minion. To stay within Shadow Magics prime objective (which is enchance the power of the spells you use), the Shadow Servant only uses spells that help boost the spells of the Wizard and/or the team. It can also use some interesting spells that I thought would be cool for it to use. It also has some of the effects of the current Shadow spells, but at a minimal level. Here's what I was thinking:
Shadow Servant Stats -Can't be used in PvP. (While Shadow Magic can be used in all types of PvP, this one is a bit of a power house, but I want to get some opinions on it.) -2,300 Max Health -3 Power Pips start -15% Pierce -15% Base Damage +20% Boost to all schools +15% Outgoing Healing +30 Block Rating +30 Critical Rating -15% Uni. Resistance +15% Stun Resistance Can use Astral Spells, Star and Sun Mutated (SM) spells, and unique Minion only Shadow Magic Has Mastery Amulet to Ice, Storm, Death & Life
I was the deck setup could include: Weakness, Donate Power, Spear Storm, Elemental Blade, Elemental Spear, Spirit Blade, Spirit Spear, Elemental Trap, Spirit Trap, Dragon Blade, Dragon Spear,Tower Shield, Taunt,Sprite, Spirit Armor, Satyr, Midnight Spirt (Rank 1 Death spell that gives a Curse side effect (SM)), Forsaken Banshee (Rank 3 Life spell that gives a Hex as side effect (SM)), Thunderbird (Rank 5 Storm spell that gives 3 Hexes as side effect (SM)), Mend, Infection, Threefold Fever, Fient, Shadow Blade (+50% Damage for 1 Shadow Pip), and Shadow Trap (+40% Damage for 1 Shadow Pip) for a total of 25 spells. (I might have gone slightly overboard with the spells)
Since you're still using Shadow Magic, you still run the risk of Backlash. However, like the current Shadow Self spells, you will have 3 rounds to decrease or increase your Backlash before it is dealt. For this particular spell, the Shadow Servant likes it when you give it some attention (e.i. healing it, protecting it, boosting it etc.) and hates when you're selfish (casting blades, heals, etc. on yourself).
So tell me what you think! Is it overpowered, useful, or still just a waste? Thanks!
I really like this idea. but sadly, it wont happen. just like you cannot be the astral school or learn an astral minion, same thing with shadow. sorry about this.

Eh, it's alright. It's just an idea, not a mandation to KI. I never thought this post would resurface any way. I like the concept of it though. To have a Shadow Minion

What? He never said anything about Shadow Magic being a Primary school. He said he would like a Shadow Minion.
Anyway, I really like this idea. It would be cool, because Morganthe needs to have a way to attack with Shadow Magic. (I'm still hoping when we battle her she will be a Shadow Boss, not a Death Boss)
