For later spells our teachers should give us Sun spells that mutate and evolve old spells. Firecat would evolve when used into a 5 pip Lion or Tiger that attacks the target. Storm Snake could evolve into a Basilisk. Just make older spells we don't use anymore into something more useful and fun.
