well i was thinking about new types of wands! i have two
ninja stars: they are stars that depending on the school have diferent appearences, the fire stars would have a red aura around them, ice would be made out of ice, storm would have electricity flowing trough them, life would have in the sharp parts sharp leaves, myth would be normal but glowing yellow, death would have tiny little " tatto" types of bone drawings, and balance would be made out of rock. you would hold them in your hands at all times
the animation would be like you put your hands almost together and the stars in betwen they start to spin and the spell starts to form ( while you kinda like crouch back ), when it for forms your hands open up and shoot the stars towards the spell if it fizzles they fall to the ground and then the wizard pics them up, if it goes alright they go foward and ( with the new weapon may cast spells) they might hit the opponent and then comes back and if not they boomerang around you and your wizard caches them withought looking back.
magical orbs: very simple appearence, just glow depending on the school ( red blue purple green yellow black white or orange, depends ) they would float in your hand ( kinda like madame vadima form p101) and spin
the animation would be you let it float in mid air and spin, the spell forms and you push the orb ( still in mid air) and if it fizzles the orb just goes back to you, if it enagages, then the orb implodes and the tiny peaces come back to you and newly form as the orb again, and ( with the may cast spells again) it could hit the anemy AFTER it forms again shoting a small burst of light of that school.
you guys could add other wand ideas and add the statistics of them or the ones i just created, hao! ( thats mooshu for "tootles!" just made it up )
razor blades: there appearence would be to round knifes with magical escence on the sharp parts ( this will be neutral for all schools) but not completly, but half circle, since its the half sircle the handle would be made out of wood ( reminds me of a type of sword in p101) you would hold them like the ninja stars, at all times.
the animation would be you spin around and the spell starts to form, once it finishes, you let one go then the other, if it fizzles, they will fall like the stars and you will pick them up as usuall. If they do then no may cast spell they just act like if gravity would be affecting them and come back to your wizard, but it would have the attack that makes you "cast yourself" and you would just throw them at the enemy and give the same animation when you cast the spell right.
magical book: just a normal book, with the colors and additional spells of each respective school, you would grab it like when you hold that little guitar wand, and hold it in battle just like that
animation would be you start to make the spell and you are standing with your legs together and arms out, the book, while that is happening, is floting moving its pages, and your eyes start to glow white as a signal of power, then you suddenly close the book and the spell casts itself. if it fizzles or not nothing happens
