Students will receive an urgent message from the storm teacher Halston Balestrom asking them for their assistance. When players talk to Halston they will learn that he has constructed a device that will help him translate a stone that he has recently acquired. He then tells the player that the stone was stolen by a group of bandits and was broken into five pieces. He then sends the player to Krokotopia to follow up on the first clue.
Quest: The First Lead Goal: Talk to Zan’ne Location: Krokotopia Reward: 500 XP
When the player arrives and has spoken to Zan’ne they will learn that the first bandit who has taken a part of the Stone of Reason is currently hiding in Krokotopia but has no idea where she is hiding. Zan’ne tells the player that the last place he has seen her was in the Djeserit Family Tomb. Players will then travel their and discover where she is hiding but she is guarded by a Shadow Queen Slave.

After Princess Amati Djeserit is defeated the player returns to Halston Balestrom and hands him the first part of the stone. He then tells the player that he had heard a rumor that the second bandit is currently hiding in an old warehouse on Chelsea Court in Marlybone. He tells the player that Mayor Pinsbury knows where the key is that will open the warehouse and sends the player to talk to him.
Quest: Mayoral Action Goal: Talk to Mayor Pinsbury Location: Marlybone Reward: 150 Gold, 1,000 XP
When the player talks to Mayor Pinsbury he tells them that the key to the warehouse was stolen from him by Sampson O’Leary and has fled to Newgate Prison. The player is told that if they want access to the warehouse then they need to defeat Sampson O’Leary and collect the key.

After Sampson O’Leary is defeated the player returns to Mayor Pinsbury with the warehouse key and is told the location of the warehouse in Chelsea Court. When the player enters the warehouse they will encounter the second bandit Patrick O’Hanlon and he is guarded by two Shadow Queen Slaves.

When Patrick O’Hanlon is defeated the player returns to Halston Balestrom with the second piece of the stone. He tells the player that they are half-way done and needs to go to Mooshu to locate the third bandit. He tells the player that the person who knows where the bandit is hiding is the War Oni who is located in the Crimson Fields.
Quest: More Information Please Goal: Defeat War Oni Talk to War Oni Location: MooShu Reward: 1,250 XP
When the War Oni is defeated he tells the player that the third bandit is hiding out in an old dojo in the Ancient Burial Grounds. When the player arrives at the dojo they will encounter the third bandit Yaokosan who is guarded by two Shadow Queen Slaves.
Quest: Way Of The Warrior Goal: Defeat Yaokosan Talk to Halston Balestrom Location: MooShu Reward: 300 Gold, 2,000 XP

After Yaokosan is defeated the player returns to Halston Balestrom and hands him the third piece of the stone. He tells the player that he has learned that the fourth piece of the stone was stolen by a former student of his named Marcus Gallowflint who fled to Dragonspyre. He tells the player that the last know sighting of Marcus Gallowflint was in an old house in the Plaza of Conquests. When the player locates Marcus Gallowflint he is guarded by two Shadow Queen Slaves.

When the player defeats Marcus Gallowflint they will return to Halston Balestrom who tells the players that by putting together the first four pieces of the stone he has learned that the fifth and final bandit is located in Grizzleheim. He sends the player to locate and collect the final piece of the stone. Players will locate the fifth and final bandit Malian Glyphcrafter in an old hut in Ravenscar and he is guarded by three Shadow Queen Slaves.

When Malian Glyphcrafter is defeated players return to Halston Balestrom who re-assembles the stone. When the stone is deciphered the following message appears:
"Mayday! Mayday! This is General Crawford representing the Spiral Exploration Team seeking assistance at once on Celestia and we are under attack! Please send help immediately! The Shadow Queen has returned! It is the work of . . ."
Halston Balestrom is disturbed by this news and sends the player back to Marlybone to speak to an associate of his. He explains that this associate was supposed to be part of the expedition to Celestia but stayed behind and is the only person who knows where the Celestia Spiral Key is located. The associates name is Walter Cunningham.
Quest: Where’s The Key? Goal: Talk to Walter Cunningham Location: Marlybone Reward: 1,000 XP
Walter Cunningham explains that the Celestia Spiral Key was stored away at the top of the Spiral Exploration Team’s warehouse. He then tells the player that the place is now overrun with all sorts of creatures and bandits and the police are too nervous to go in so he sends the player to collect the key.
