I'm tired of pets failing on their last talent at epic. I would like to merge my failed epic pets together at the sum of their hatching costs and end up with one pet that hopefully has the talents on it that are either more acceptable or that I wanted. Basically, merging pets would only be allowed at epic (both pets would have to be epic), and would mix just as before except the resulting pet would remain at epic rather than restart back at baby.
