If armor pierce damaged resistance

Consider how duels would go if every time you used an armor piercing attack, your opponent's resistance degraded. Each time you attacked, an amount of resistance proportional to the size of attack was shaved off.

I personally like this idea, and think it would help bail KI out of a duel system that is biased toward huge resistance.

Additionally though, players could restore their lost stats with a "resistance repair" or "restore" spell.

So eventually spamming would be the best choice when fighting a resist based school like ice. That would help, and I do like the restore spells.

Spamming might not be a bad choice. Basically, I think duels just need to be more finishable and more fair for a couple of choice schools.
