Holidays Event idea

I have an idea for how to do next year’s holiday events. Instead of having separate events for each holiday, how about tying them all together into one huge year long quest? What I mean is, have one quest story, and each holiday NPC plays their part in the story. The easiest way to do this would be to have each quest run from start to finish and have no carry over. For example, the New Year’s event would be playable, and when we finished, it would remove any quests and we’d get our reward. Then, on Valentine’s Day, we’d get a furthering of the story, self contained quests, etc.

All of these quests would be level scalable, so those of us with higher wizards would have a harder challenge and get better rewards, and lower levels would have an easier challenge and lesser rewards. The monsters would drop things relative to their levels, but also drop the “main holiday items” from the quests.

All of the holiday quests would yield you some special pieces of something. During the Christmas event at the end of the year, when you finish it, you would be able to craft a new item out of all those pieces you picked up. Perhaps we would have to pick up some quantity of hearts, shamrocks, easter eggs, flags, turkeys, pumpkins and snowballs to make a new recipe. The BEST bonus would be if you got all the pieces, but if you miss a quest, you could still cash them in for something smaller.

Another thing that could be done as a reward, is each season we could get some minor spells we could learn, as well as a treasure card version. Once again, at the end of the year, we could craft all the treasure cards into one new spell. I’m not talking any super powerful spell, but something that could be used at any point in the game, and give us something new to use.
