Holiday Quest Ideas

I absolutely love it when holidays role around. Especially Hallowe'en. But sometimes I feel KI gives Hallowe'en all the good stuff. Granted Yuletide has the 12 Days of Sales event, but that still leaves all the other holidays very lack-luster. So I think, over time, KI should consider maybe adding short and humorous Holiday quests to all the different holidays. Here are my ideas for some of them:

Valentine- Love Spells Disaster! Cupig Heartarrow, a spirit of love and attraction, has come to Wizard City for the Friendship Festival. Upon his arrival, love notes, consequently struck by his Love Arrows, scattered across Wizard City. If anyone reads them, they'll gain an attraction to become friends with the first person they see. As harmless as it may sound, Cupig needs you to gather all the notes before it's too late. If anyone becomes enchanted with the notes, then he'll need our help to come up with a potion. The potion can only be made using an ingredient found in the Heartbreak Tower (the one Baldur Goldpaws stands next to) where a new boss awaits at the top to test your skills.

St. Pactricks Day- At the End of the Rainbow Sabrina Greenstar hasn't been feeling to lucky today. She asks if you could help her summon a Leprachaun to bring good fortune. It all starts well when a pot at the end of a rainbow appears near Rainbow Bridge, bringing a Leprachaun! When asking for a lucky coin, the Leprachaun spreads patches of clovers all over Ravenwood, the Commons, Golem Court, the Shopping District Olde Town and Unicorn Way, hidding the mystic coin. We'll need to find the one Four Leaf Clover hidding it somewhere there (this quest gives an expansion to Unicorn Way and also grants a new Four Leaf Clover plant). Otherwise, all the citizens of Wizard City will be cursed with misfortune!

Easter- Where Art Thou Stinky Eggs Peter Cottontail, the Easter Bunny, as sprung out this Spring. But his jealous Chick and Duck rivals have captures his Bunny helpers on each of the streats. They all possess a batch of eggs and if kept too long, Wizard City will be clouded in a funky smell and ruin the easter festivities! Upon finding all the Bunnies, Wizards will need to stop a the leader of the Chicks and Ducks in a new tower, the New Spring Fortress, standing in the center tower of Olde Town.

Thanksgiving- Growing Thanks Every year, Wizard City partakes in the Thankful Banquet and invites everyone to celebrate giving thanks to everyone this year (and not failing Cyrus' class) in the Grand Dining Hall. It's also the day we celebrate Merle Ambrose's founding of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts. Farley's scrumscious veggies are the typical highlight of the feast. But Farley's newest harvest hasn't been doing so well in Golem Court. If they don't sprout soon, there may not been a Thankful Banquet. But a mysterious Bison Shaman from Cool Ranch may have a solution...

I'll post the Yuletide quest very soon so stay tuned! Tell me what you think so far

And now for my largest and favorite quest line idea, Yuletide!

Yuletide- The Night Before Yuletide A strange blizzard has rolled into Wizard City and flurries dance down in Ravenwood, the Commons, Golem Court and the Shopping District. The blizzard seems to have caused a very bad incident! Merle Ambrose got run over by a Reindeer! Well, he nearly did at least. He summons young Wizards to investigate the crashed sleigh outside. Upon doing so, it seems the driver and Reindeer and nowhere to be found.

At the center of the Commons, a snowman by the name of Frosty might be able to help. Frosty says he saw Old Saint Nicholas get lost in the snow and fell to the Commons. The strange thing is, Rudolph, was with him and his Reindeer, how could this happen? Something surely is afoot! Frosty tells you that he remembered seeing little Elves hop out of the sleigh and run off to the streets. You should find them!

Throughout the streets you find 4 elves in total: Johnny in Unicorn Way, Susy hid in Triton Avenue, Nellie stood in Cyclops Lane, and Noel was shaking in Firecat Alley. On each street, they ask you to collect at least 10 presents scattered on the streets. When completed, they give you information on what happened but it's still vague. The mystery still remains, where's Saint Nicholas?

Back in the Commons, Frost tells you that this blizzard is not a natural thing. He says that it must have blown out of Colossus Boulevard. He instructs you speak to someone their, who knows more. Maybe Mindy Pixiecrown?
Mindy Pixiecrown says that the winds started when something went amiss in Winterfrost Tower (the empty tower on Colossus Boulevard), the home to an Ice Wizard, Old Man Winter. We should speak to him.

Old Man Winter reveals that he summoned this blizzard to get rid the terrible fiend, Krampus, and take back his tower to no avail. He says that Krampus was holding Reindeer, and an old man in a red coat captive as well as his apprentice, Jack Frost. That must be Saint Nicholas! We can't get in because the door is ceiled shut. In order to open it, we'll need to find 4 Silver Bells and ring them. Their magic will loosen the doors bindings. When that is complete we enter.

Inside, a frightened Jack Frost greets us. Jack explains that a horrible monster his holding Saint Nicholas at the top of the tower. He also warns us to watch out for the creatures he's summon. They're bad news! After running through all of the rooms, freeing the Sugar Plum Fairy from a puzzle, and beating a green underling of Krampus, the Grunch, we find Krampus holding Saint Nicholas and his Reindeer. Krampus explains he plans to ruin Yuletide this year and give everyone coal, just as Saint Nicholas would only bring the bad beast. The Wizard dispel Krampus and releases an appreciative Saint Nicholas. Saint Nicholas leaves off to complete his route before Yuletide is over. But he does leave the Wizard with a special gift, a Yuletide Present pet!
