Premise: As every world is released a common debate rears its head. That debate is on the difficulty of the world and whether it is too hard or too easy. That debate has once again come to the forefront with the release of Khyrsalis. While Khyrsalis is generally much easier than prior worlds such as Azteca(pre-nerf), some casual players who solo have pointed out areas where the difficulty has spiked(Ghost Dog, Tymen Whiteflame). Such areas include 4v1 fights and cheating bosses. While many players do not mind an occasional sprinkling of difficult bosses, others find them frustrating and unenjoyable. I believe casual players should have an option to make their experience more enjoyable. Luckily KI has already added a new built in system to help players: allies. Allies accompany players on certain quests and provide stat boosts that significantly alter the difficulty of battles. However, allies are only present for certain quests and not others. My proposition is to make it possible to hire allies using in-game gold.
Implementation: I envision Ally hiring to work in this manner:
-Have a NPC in the commons area of the world that offers the service of Allies for a certain amount of in-game gold.
-Have the Ally's cost reflect the benefit it provides(stronger Allies cost more gold)
-Have the NPC offer a variety of allies with new allies being unlocked as you progress through the storyline.
-One may hire a maximum of 3 allies at a time.
-Allies will last until the successful completion of the quest segment or until the player logs off.
-Allies are locked to their world of origin and will only work for the quest line selected at the time of hiring.
-Allies would cost a significant but not bank breaking amount. I envision a minimum Ally cost of 10K gold(slightly more than a 4 bottle potion refill at max lvl) and a maximum Ally cost of 50K gold(About the cost of hatching a pet).
Benefit: Allies will allow casual players another option for completing frustrating or difficult quests. As they will cost in-game gold, Allies will be readily available to players including those who cannot afford to spend crowns on henchman. Allies are independent of world difficulty thus no nerfs/buffs to monsters or areas need apply when using allies. Allies would be a personal choice offering players a way to tailor the difficulty of the game to their standards. If one wants to experience the full challenge of the game, don't hire allies. Conversely, if one is having difficulty on a particular quest allies would be available regardless of time of day or play preferences(i.e solo vs group). As allies would cost in-game gold and last for a specified amount of time they would not be able to be realistically used for every quest in the game and thus would have a small impact on overall game balance. Finally unlike pets or gear, allies would have no impact on the PvP arena and thus could add buffs with little fear of creating an arena imbalance.
How is this really necessary when we now even have companions helping us through the mobs in Khrysalis? There's also cheap henchmen in the crown shop. Sorry, no this isn't necessary at all. There's plenty of "free" help with the basic creatures early on this world.

This suggestion would allow players to take allies(companions) with them into any battle not just the limited quests(as in current game). I agree that this is not necessary, it is simply another option to help those who play a more casual game.
