This would be a rare or ultra-rare occurrence only on higher worlds.
Tougher to open than Silver chests. Maybe a guessing game (like the mastermind game, but set up so that even if you know how to play you aren't guaranteed to get it open like you can with the silver chests).

- 2 times common gold amount and
- 2 of the following

I have 2 suggestions for this,
A) 2 times common gold and one of the following
- seeds of a plant only available from gold chests, I recommend the golden key limes plant. - unique pet only available from gold chests, Maybe the Golden Goose, or the Golden Sea Horse
- B) Transport to battle (no outside help) with high level boss with great drops Could have several bosses set up and which boss you get is random. ( this would be very unique, but a lot of work and probably a lot of work).
Ultra-rare (again, this would be very different)
- Treasure Quest
One of several quests that takes you to several parts of the spiral ending in a big battle (again prefer no outside help)
Here the drop includes an ultra rare item and a large amount of gold, say 25,000 or maybe even some crowns.

I like the idea of having some rare ultra-rare and epic items that can only be found in a gold chest.
How about a golden ring or anthame that besides increasing your health etc also increases the amount of gold you receive from chests and quests, say 10% extra.
or maybe golden shoes that gives you Extra health, Spell Proof, and a Golden Tower Shield (-60%)
Unique Pets like the Golden Goose, or how about Fire Flies.
Unique Seeds like the Golden Key Lime or Golden Rod.
