As someone who enjoys this game enough to try a year as a member I must say I'm very disappointed in the lack of Gold purchase possibilities in the Shop.
From my understanding a lot of these cosmetics also have powerful cards, spells, or stats attached to them and while that is great for those who purchase the power with crowns; can members have the option to buy the cosmetic without the additional spells, cards, or gear. I find it absolutely ridiculous that after paying to play the content in this game that I would have to pay again in order to change my Wizard's hair for example.
Can members have the option to purchase these same outfits, hairstyles, gear, etc. without the bonuses like cards, spells, and stats attached to them using in game gold. They will be purely cosmetic.
Character customization is one of the fun little elements in a game and I feel like my purchase to play this game doesn't allow me to enjoy the aspects I would like to enjoy. We allow character polymorphs for a temporary amount of time for the price of 500(G), we have some permanent mounts starting at 50,000 (G) but are limited on choices, and that is absolutely fine. I want a similar system for outfits, hairstyles, and gear for as a members exclusive.
Also can members have the option to stitch cosmetics with their gear using Gold?
This was also frustrating because I like the look on certain gear, but I really need the stats on other sets of gear to progress in the game. Would you be open to allowing members to stitch their gear via Gold instead of crowns?
You could make this quite expensive over time such as 5k per item making a full set expensive on top of expensive cosmetics so players will have to save a bit of gold in order to do this; similar to the 50,000 (G) permanent mounts.
These sets should be on the expensive side since it is an alternative to Crowns but still an option for your members, where right now there is no option except to pay again. I don't feel that's fair to your members, and it really limits the experience a player can have.
I really want to enjoy this game but running into pay walls for simple content after paying to play the game is a horrible feeling. After running into both of these I immediately canceled my next subscription because I felt like I wasn't getting any value for my money. I would be fine if these were gated by my in game money because then it would feel like I have another goal to reach but instead I'm left feeling like my money was wasted.
TL;DR
Allow members to purchase cosmetic items, gear, outfits, hairstyles (without any additional stats, cards, or spells) with Gold. Also allow members to stitch stats with Gold that way any stats that are on the cosmetic gear was earned by the player. The total cost to stitch and purchase cosmetics should be expensive to keep things fair.
well stitching with gold first off is a bad idea and buying crowns gear with gold is too KI needssome way to make money to keep the games going so stitching with crowns is going to stay and at least it's only 100 crowns each... just be glad it's not 500 crowns each. and for the expensive gear in the crowns shop.. they have sales every now and then that allow us to get them for a lower price like on St. Patrick's day they had a everything green sale meaning like the life mastery was on sale for 5000 crowns I believe. and I agree that mostly everything in the crowns shop isn't for gold but some things are for gold and some good useful things at that.. like housing items, some mounts, and other things. KI has already sacrificed a lot so that we could easily get crowns which is awesome but with suggestions like this asking for more things that don't require real money will slowly make them have to shut down the games due to a financial problem.. they might rethink it and take some of the benefits, that help us, away like trivia and most of the sales and more we don't want that and i'm sure KI doesn't want to do it.
Nick I'm not asking to replace the crowns items, I'm asking that members, the players who consistently support this game, be allowed to have the option to buy the outfits as pure cosmetics without all the extra stuff. Players who purchase the gear with crowns will still receive everything for the price of crowns.
You do understand that this is all recommended for members. They are making money, and again they don't need to make everything gold just some options for members who already help support the game.
