I have NEVER found an item that was better than what was in the auction house. Even more importantly, I have never seen a recipe that had items better than I currently had at each level. There really needs to be an improvement in both crafted recipes and drops. In fact, even chests that give items for crowns have never had anything that useful.
You haven't looked very much then. Crafted items starting at level 56+ and dropped No-Auction items at 60+ are better than anything available in the Bazaar.
