Ok so in the pitch-black-lake in Azteca I have a quest called Walk Through The Garden. It requires me to kill Pira'Nya Scissor Teeth and collect Scissor Teeth Spears. I've been at it for like an hour right now and I've only gotten one.
Is this a glitch? Could a moderator possibly give me some insight? I'm really frustrated right now. The tedium is just killing me. Please, someone, help. Is there a way to increase the drop rate? If so then tell me. I'm about to rip my hair out.

This all seems to be a matter of luck. Others with me collected and it took me forever over 2 days to collect this.
I finally gave up on the Balance wizard there I was so annoyed. Do Not Collect in lower worlds is amusing but in upper worlds "not so much".
I think the best way to finish these collect quests is to always have friends with you, or to jump into battle with others in the areas. I found that when i have others with me I always find the items much easier to collect than if I solo it.
though some areas gave me a ton of grief like the salt meadow area with collecting items from the quetzals which took me a good 2 hours or so to finish

that same quest took me 2 hours to complete. so, believe me, i understand you wanting to rip your hair out and i don't blame you in the slightest.
it seems to me that, when avalon and azteca were nerfed, the did-not-collect quests increased in difficulty once again. i wish there was a way to make these quests (since there are so many of them) less irritating.
They're obnoxious. But keep repping it out. If you need to, take a break and do a side quest. That way you get a break from the mobs. Try changing battle circles.
