This is a kinda complicated question.

Ok, so me and my friend got bored earlier and was like lets see if you can hit one million damage with a -90% thing on me. So we got all the buffs that I could and I did it. So.. does that technically mean I hit 100,000,000 damage or am I understanding the mechanics wrong?

And also we had to try this twice because, the first time I used shrike and my friend randomly died? I didn't hit or nothing he just died. Any idea on what that was?

Well hypothetically speaking, if you only hit for 1,000,000 exactly, technically that's 10% of 10,000,000 not 100,000,000.

Even if the hit was for 10,000,000 or higher without the -90, I don't believe the game will show a damage total higher than 1,000,000. I'm not sure what you're asking about when you inquire about understanding the mechanics.

As for the random dying, I have no idea.

If you shrike the shield goes down to 40%, so no you didn't get to 10,000,000.
