Doesn't everyone think that stitching gears should be allowed through either crowns or gold?
They made members become able to play tournaments from gold. I think that stitching should have the same thing.

It would be great if gold allowed you to get everything you need crowns to obtain in Wizard101.

Sadly, it isn't very practical. KI, the company that produces this wonderful game, has bills to pay. The talented staff that works to support, maintain, and update Wizard101 must be paid (and should be paid well!) for the job they do. The more money KI makes from this game, the better they can make it.

The flip side to this is that the game must be fun and "winnable" without players needing to spend substantial real money on the game. (Games that require large sums of money to win rightfully earn a poor reputation as "Pay to Win".)

The best balance is a game that allows all players to have fun, but also has vanity gear such as mounts, houses, furniture, and visible clothing, many of which require real money to obtain. KI goes the extra mile here with the option to earn crowns through Daily Assignments, educational quizzes, and watching ads. A player looking to stitch hat, robe, boots, and wand could get the crowns to do so in just a few days without spending money.
