In the game you change your rank by levelling up, Level 1-5: Novice Level 6-10: Apprentice Level 10-15: Initiate Level 15-20: Journeyman Level 20-30: Adept Level 30-40: Magus Level 40-49: Master Level 50-59: Grandmaster Level 60: Legendary
On the message boards, your rank will change as more posts you make are approved. Obviously, not to the same scale as above.
Keep in mind, spamming these message boards for the sole purpose of increasing your rank will not only result in unapproved messages, but a potential ban.
