Just wondering, I have subscribed normally in the past using gift cards. Now I can use open chat because I recently subscribed using credit. If I go back to using gift cards, would I still get to keep my open chat, because my credit is still validated in the system? Or would I lose open chat too even though they have credit info?
The credit card requirement is to ensure parental permission. Once a parent has entered his/her credit card to make a purchase, the parental control settings become available to enable the chat feature. If you revert back to gift card purchasing only, you'll retain your chat ability as it's presumed then the parent intentionally allowed the chat option previously.
