Am I the only one here that appreciates Morganthe? I love her concept and it was intelligent for someone named Morganthe too be a nemesis for Merle. I just want to know if anyone else appreciates Morganthe, and I want to show gratitude to KI anyways!!
The reference to Morgan le Fay was fairly well done and, I'll admit, I love any references towards King Arthur. (I'm one of the nerds in the family! :)) Not to mention that if I had a chance I'd steal that dress of hers. I think it would look real good in white and light blue.
I'm not much into her from a writer's perspective though. A villain with no real motive isn't too scary to me. I could sympathize with Malistaire, having gone through the loss of a loved one a year or so back. I know that I'd do anything to bring them back, just like Malistaire would have. It's hard not to sympathize with a villain like Malistaire. Almost everyone can relate to what he's going through and they understand that he's not really evil, he just didn't understand the consequences of what he was about to do because he was blinded by grief. I'd say I didn't cry at the top of the Great Spyre, but I'd be lying. Hopefully we'll find out Morganthe's motive soon. If it's something I can sympathize with again, I'll be happy. If her motive is to just rewrite the Spiral I'll just be mad at how long I spent farming in Azteca. I'd really like to be repaid for my time with a good story. It's the icing on the cake really.
