What a change in PVP over time.

Back when I PvP'ed my Level 10 Myth, I used tc's and no one complained.
I expected TC's, Crown gear, and Pet cards to be used.
No one ever called me a TC noob, or whined on TC use.
Win or loss, we both said GG and after some great battles,
we would team up and start a 2v2 match.

Back when I used my Balance at mid (~30) level dueling, again I used TC's.
I won some, lost some, but it was fun, and you would always stay
in the arena and make friends or just talk.

When my wizards got to Level 50, PvP was nothing but fun, and was a real blast.
Win or lose, no one really got mad, and the friends list
always grew until you hit max. If I won, and had 2 hp left, it
was a great battle, if I lost I learned and we could just hang and chat.

At Level 60, friends became fewer after PvP, and the Word Noob and
complaints on TC really started to show up.

At level 70, you get Warlords that try to upset you, by saying
whatever they can to distract you. They bring in friends to try
to get you to talk or just talk to try to distract you.
Noob, false reports and TC complaints became out of control.
No one say GG, and everyone just ports out after
the battle.

At level 80, not one person has said GG in any battle I have been in.
Not one person has requested to add me, at all.
Not one person has stayed after the battle.
What a change 2 1/2 years can make......

Joe.

So true, PvP etiquette is obselete at the very least I stay in the battle and say gg after and I even try to start a conversation with my opponent but they just stay quite and leave or port and sometimes begin to use offensive words but I don't report because that would mean 60% of my battles would result in such. Oh well nothing you can do but ignore, stay strong, and enjoy the game.

The same happened with me actually. This is what I noticed:
TC's are apparently okay at the lower levels
PvP at grandmaster was the most fun thing ever
Magus gave a great time.
Adept was fun as well, treasures always allowed.
Journeyman and under was great! 2 and a half years ago journeymen were actually able to put up a fight and defeat grandmasters (Before Celestia came out)
Master was a little worse then Magus, but still very fun.
Legendary+ just blew it. Everyone started hating each other, a bunch of my friends started quitting pvp and then eventually the game, TC users were bullied very easily, people started getting mad at their losses, people were blaming others for critical, and it was just a huge frenzy since then. PvP changed a lot, and if I were to give it results, I'd have to say negative.

Well the game is attracting more players, and some of the new players aren't as innocent as past players. I sure miss the golden ages of the game, what wonderful memories when you can just walk into a battle win or lose have some laughs, say GG, make friends, and have no complaints. Now a days it seems everyone just wants to win. :(

I don't even PVP any more. I've only done a total of six 1v1 (won 2 - lost 4). This was on my Balance wizard at around level 50. Every single time, it was a nightmare. I was bullied, taunted, their friends would taunt me, 'curse' at me, and whatever negative thing could happen, probably did. That wasn't the reason why I lost matches (it's because I'm such a noob and had no experience).

None of my other 5 wizards have done PVP. It doesn't mean I wouldn't like to, but it's gone down the tubes and needs a serious overhaul. But, you can't adjust the attitudes of many of the PVP players. Courtesy and respect have flown out the window.

I think everyone should fight with fluffy bunny gear. You can't get mad at that! :)

I can't really compare since I started piping during celestial. I just thought pvp was always like this lol. But maybe I can give some light on this situation. Celestial gave criticals which just put more luck into pvp. Also more complicated spells were added. The whole idea of pvp is not way more complicated then it use to be. Not to mention the ww gear with all it's resistance. I can only imagine but it must have been nice not having to deal with resistance. Now in pvp I only do 2v2 because that's the only time I can have fun. It seems 1v1 is just a pain.

I agree with this. Back when I was on my Fire, and I was new to the PvP world, things were so different. When my Storm was level 50, things were still different. Now my Storm is level 80, and no matter what the outcome of the fight, my opponent will either port away, insult me and port away, or false report me and port away. It's a good day when they don't say a word. What I would like, is if KI added a sign on the PvP pedestal page. It could say something like: Remember, Young Wizards, your opponent here will not be your real enemy! Remember the rules of good sportsmanship and ettiquette, and prove you are a real Wizard!

That would be nice to add a sign saying that.

You've played a total of 6 games? And you know that PvP needs an overall? That is hilarious. You sound like you have enough experience to know what you are talking about. LOL

But I agree with the overall sentiment that PvP has changed, and maybe not for the better. It's prime time wizarding and I just went looking for a 1v1 match. There wasn't a single 1v1 match with wizards over level 70. I think that says a lot about how people feel about the current state of PvP.

Ugh troll.
Exactly what difference does it make how many games QueQueg has played?
The point is he/she is AGREEING with the OP that PvP has changed for the worst.

The truley hilarious thing is that after you finished your incredibly rude and uncalled for comment to him/her, you go on to say

Hellooo? That's what QueQueg basically stated. The fact that they have played 6 ranked matches, and noticed this, doesn't make their observations any less valid than yours. Grow up.
