Something about PVP Armor that I dont get...

I was looking at Diego's Pvp armor that he sells and saw one that gave you really good stats, but it says it -100% mana. Wouldn't that mean you lose ALL your mana?? You wouldn't be able to do any attacks. I don't understand how that helps.

These items are meant to exclusively be used in the PvP Arena (where mana isn't used) and not out in the worlds of the Spiral.
