Nah, ice wizards do low damage so the battle would pretty much never end. You would keep shielding which makes their attacks weaker and then yours would be weak. If you want to switch, switch to life. We heal, attack with great damage (at higher levels), can come back to life with guardian spirit (spell learned in Avalon), have high blades, and I find it a lot of fun.
I don't understand the question. Obviously, you can't switch your school. I find that Death is very good in 1v1. Any school can win if they know how to play to their strengths and attack their opponent's weaknesses.
