Myth any good for level 16 PvP.

I am thinking of making a Myth character level 16 and use his shields and stock pile on them and use my minion I get. Have the minion do the work while I stock pile on shields. This a good idea or no?

It will work vs. novice players that ignore your minion, but you should plan on doing some damage also.
