Professor Greyrose,

Roland SilverHeart once posted the following:
Opposing opinions always make for interesting conversation, but several recent threads went the way of personal attacks against individuals on these message boards. This type of behavior will not be tolerated and I apologize for letting these threads go too far.

Offending threads have been completely removed, and further attempts to spur hateful and disruptive dialog will not be approved.

If you see a post that is offensive, please report it to Professor Greyrose directly at community@wizard101.com. To ensure all interactions are safe, we have a team of moderators overseeing all message board activity. We review, edit, and sometimes delete inappropriate messages so the message board discussions stay safe and on track but we are human, and we do our very best, but sometimes we miss things. Thanks to those of you who brought this to our attention.
You posted the Item #5 below, which should apply to all of W101, including the message boards.
5. Typing around the chat filters &/or having Open chat does NOT excuse you from the Terms of Use. There's no "First Amendment" in the Spiral. You don't have the right to be harassing, rude, crude or an otherwise uncouth louse. Having type chat is a privilege, not a right. As a mature player capable of handling the responsibility, we presume you already know that

The problem is, PvP on the message boards is still going on with falsehood, personal attacks, and abuse. When Roland said it would not be tolerated, it should have been stopped, but it has not. What concerns me is that the people doing the personal attacks are Adults (so they say), not children or young adults.
One thing is clear to me,
1, No mature adult would make a personal attack against another adult on a Message board over a game.
2, No mature adult would make a personal attack against a young adult on a Message board over a game.
3, No mature adult would make a personal attack against a child on a Message board over a game, but it continues to happen.
The Sequence is always the same, and has happened over and over.
1, A crude reply is given to try to intimidate, sometimes a bit blunt.
2, If the person does not change their mind, the intimidation gets more aggressive.
3, If the person has not changed their mind, then they are browbeat, until they become subservient.
4, If that is not working, the replies quickly get personal, and this has been going on for a long time now.
5. Finally, if this does not work, they get their friends to join in on the browbeating.

Many, many good posters have left this board over the past few years because of this. There is no reason for this, and the constant abuse that goes on this board. I would like to suggest that just as people are complaining that inappropriate language is used in the game, the same idea is used here. Give us a report button to report personal attacks. The person that uses these tactics should be banned for one week. Second time, one Month, and lastly (three times and out), they should be banned from the Message boards. This directly applies to a person that cannot read and post a reasonable reply, or make up falsehoods, etc. These people also hurt the Message boards, and need to be warned.
Most people do not know they can report to you, and this should be made very clear. Adding a button to allow a quick report would be very helpful. This needs to be done to keep this board friendly to all, and to stop the manipulation but just a few trying to control the boards and in that, the game.

Thank you for reading,

Joe.
