Balance

In my opinion, Balance is one of the most easiest schools for level 12 1v1 PvPing. It gets Balanceblade at level 12. You should have the following

Fire Elf if possible
Storm spells up to level 12
Infection
Maybe Stun Shields

Let's start out with a deck set up: You should have a full supply of pixies in your Pharaoh's Deck, Storm attacks, and max thunder snakes. Why? Thunder snakes can break storm shields. Get a lightning bat or two or your highest storm spells. Why? I'm about to tell you.

Your Sideboard of the Pharaoh's Deck [or Novice Balance Deck, it truthfully doesn't matter] should include the following:

2 Tower Shields
1 Monstrous [to enchant storm spells such as lightning bats to finish opponents off]
1 Judgement [In case something goes wrong, the judgement is a subsitute hitter]
1 Do-Daga [If you cannot find your pet's attack (see 3rd paragraph) this is an excellent subsitute for Royal Triton]
1 Infallible
1 Mander Minion [An extremely helpful guy, he can shield, blade, donate pips to you, and also weaken the opponent]
1 Stormblade [for extra opponent's health]

Your pet is crucial. A Royal Triton hybrid pet is perfect, such as the Mist Triton. [Royal Triton and Bone Dragon]

Your Triton hybrid should have some of the following suggested:

Incredibly Infallible
Spell Proof
Spell Defy
May Cast Fairy
May Cast Enfeeble

Mine does not possess all of these atributes, it has:

1 card of pierce
Spell Proof [9%]
Damage [3%]
Storm Critical [23%]
May Cast Fairy

Finally your gear:

This is a Last-Resort type, however its health is useful:

Midsummer's Cowl
Jacket of the Withstanding
Watchtower Boots
Mist Triton
Fortune Teller's Peerless Eyes [Level 10+]
Heartsteel
Storm Mastery Amulet
Ring of Refreshment or Band of Purpose
Pharaoh's Deck or Novice Balance Deck

You should have somewhere around 20% resist.

Your first options should be the following, even though they can be expensive:

Wild Wing Headress [Aztecan Builder's Bundle]
Shard Warrior's Armor [Jewel Crafter's Bundle]
Polarian Explorer Snowboots [Polarian Explorer's Bundle]
Mist Triton
Ring of Refreshment
Storm Mastery Amulet
Heartsteel
Fortune Teller's Peerless Eyes [Level 10+]

Although these provide low health, probably not over 1,000, this gear set will give you somewhere around 30% resist, even if you do not have a proof/defy pet [This 30% includes a proof pet.]

You can develop a strategy on the way, but this is a complete guide.
