How do the system decided who go first

Just now, got on match number 10. I am level 50 fighting 80warlords to 90 private. And so far, in 10 matchs, always going second...
How do the game decided that? Going second to a guy that just went fist last match... Really?...

I think it is random, but sometimes it seems unfair. I have gone second 7 times in a row before on low level characters.

I used to keep track of statistics like this, and the longest run I had of going second was 11 times in a row.
