How do I buy the Storm Elf?

Today, I got enough arena tickets to buy the Storm Elf from Diego. Woohoo!

But when I tried to buy it, it showed the Crossed swords icon followed by an icon of a standing up yellow sword, and I couldn't get it. :( My question, what does this mean and how can I buy myself a Storm Elf pet? Thanks!

You must be of the correct RANK to purchase this pet. Here's the rank symbol definitions
If you want the prize, you have to build the ladder rung by rung. There are no shortcuts.

You get the enchantment at the bazaar. It's actually called lightning elf, but some people them storm elves .

You have to fet a treasure card called Transmute Fire Elf to Lightening elf
