The reason you get "pwned" by level 18 warlords is because they have gear (commander gear) that they have worked very hard to obtain and so they use it and they win, it's as simple as that. As for you I am sorry, but to get gear like that you will have to work at PvP and earn as much as 2200 tickets for the commander gear, and most commanders even have a really good pet with double resist and heal.
I got senator's wintry sandals from aquila! check those out they're awesome! if you lvl 38 then maybe try mt olympus? you get a lot of gold. oh and try the gladiator! he has 30,000 health and when i battled him it was epic
